Enlitech’s SS-X solar simulator makes the breakthrough possible.
In July 2021, Nature Communications published a report by Linköping University and Zhejiang University. This research is performed based on four state-of-the-art non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs), conducting multi-scales examination from molecular structures, morphological characteristics, macroscopic properties to device performances. Four NFAs were compared and the results showed that extending conjugation of NFA brought positive effect on charge separation promotion and non-radiative loss reduction, which was beneficial for high Voc. Solar simulator and standard reference solar cell from Enlitech were used and the authors got optimal efficiency of 17.56% with a high fill factor of 78.44%. This research provides a deep understanding of the structure-performance relationship and can pave the way for OPVs through molecular design.
