SiPhIA SEMI Silicon Photonics Industry Alliance
Launched by SEMI in September 2024 with support from TSMC and ASE Group, SiPhIA unites over 110 global companies to advance innovation, commercialization, and standardization in silicon photonics. Its three Special Interest Groups focus on system design, advanced packaging and testing, and key equipment integration, driving a complete technology roadmap and industry ecosystem.
HiSPA Heterogeneously-integrated Silicon Photonics Alliance
Founded in April 2024 by Taiwan Techās Heterogeneously-Integrated Silicon Photonic Integration Center and PIDA, HiSPA brings together academia, industry, and government to promote silicon photonics R&D, talent cultivation, and applications. Led by Professor San-Liang Lee, the alliance accelerates adoption in high-bandwidth, high-speed, and AI applications through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Next-Generation High-Efficiency Solar Cell Technology Collaboration Alliance
The Next-Generation High-Efficiency Solar Cell Technology Collaboration Alliance was established by the Research Center for Critical Issues (RCCI), Academia Sinica, in February 2026 to unite academia, research institutions, and industry in advancing high-efficiency solar technologies toward commercialization, supporting Taiwan's energy transition and net-zero goals.
RCCI will continue expanding the alliance, with a focus on cell efficiency, process optimization, and device stability.
